EXPERIENCE

For 24 years I was a social worker. I worked with children in care and families in crisis.

I trained for two years to become a systemic practitioner. I completed the family and systemic psychotherapy to an intermediate level.

My experience involved working for a children’s charity for 17 years, a family therapy clinic for under a year. I have also worked in schools, supporting bereaved children, parents and teachers. More recently I had a managerial role within a local authority and then undertook my training as a Life Coach.

I am an Accredited Practitioner Coach with the International Authority For Professional Coaching & Mentoring (IAPC&M)

My work has always centered around trauma, loss and change.

ABOUT ME

“What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?”

As a transformational life coach and a single mother to a very spirited young boy I have learnt to approach life with integrity, gratitude, courage, creativity and compassion.

A couple of years ago I gathered the courage to leave work, the only job I had ever done, deciding to take a career break to focus on spending time with my son and more time with myself. However life naturally kept drawing me back to where my heart is and that is supporting people to discover the best version of themselves.

It takes courage to stop and reassess. How can I ask my client’s to do this if I haven’t done it myself?

Everyone, who seeks it, can benefit from professional support. At some point in our lives we all need this. I have received it, I still seek it and it’s a huge investment in myself but it also benefits the people I love. I have never doubted the need or had regrets about taking time out and this is what brings me here to you.

My experiences and professional life have taught me that if we keep doing the same thing, we will keep getting the same result. If we change something, however small, something different will happen. As simple as this may sound it is not easy making changes on your own. I have also learnt that no one has hurt me or criticised me more than myself. It is our inner voice, our inner critic that is the hardest to change but with the right support it can be done.

As a life coach I will offer you my wholehearted commitment to help you make the changes and live the life you want.
